On the morning of September 25th, 2026, Blumarine posted a teaser for its Spring/Summer 2027 show on Instagram, captioned with the simple phrase: “Step into pink.”
For many of us, Blumarine is a fashion brand that’s always been synonymous with pink. Blumarine’s archive features more of the colour pink than most brands, along with plenty of tulle, butterfly motifs, and sequins. Creative Director David Koma understands that what makes Blumarine iconic is its legacy, and that’s a legacy that’s dripping in pink.
Even before a single model had stepped onto the runway, we’d already been immersed in Koma’s world of pink at Blumarine, through a hot pink invitation and a blush pink carpeted show space. As Blumarine’s It-girls filed into the space, anticipation was high for the world David Koma was about to build.
Of course, pink was a key feature in the collection, but David Koma also played with a myriad of other pops of pastel colour, including a soft baby blue, shocking hot pink, lavender lilac, and butter yellow. The collection also debuted an exciting new footwear offering as part of Blumarine's collaboration with UGGs, with diamond-encrusted and furry UGG slippers paired with gowns and mini dresses.
The collection itself was an ode to the “cinematic culture of California,” celebrating the fun and feminine aesthetic of the 1970s and Y2K ‘Cali-girls’. From floor-length tutu skirts worn low-rise with thongs peeking out, to baby-doll dresses and flowing gowns, Blumarine put playful, feminine fashion at the front and centre.
