We linked up with London-born singer-songwriter Rose Gray at All Points East Festival to hear about her opinions on live music right now, the best place to party in the city, and her collaboration with the British public's summertime favourite, ice cream brand Magnum.
Hitting up the House of Magnum takeover at All Points East, where Rose Gray was partying either side of her set with some of her biggest fans, here's what she shared with us.
XO: You recently linked up with Magnum, a brand that’s spotlighting creatives and craft in music, fashion and more, at All Points East. What does the work Magnum’s doing with artists mean to you?
R: “I’ve always loved Magnum. They're genuinely my favourite ice cream haha. I love the creatives they collaborate with, so many people I look up to. Everything they do feels iconic.”
XO: What was a highlight of performing at All Points East back in August?
R: “The ‘Club To Your Arms’ bridge. I felt all 15,000 dancers. Looking around and seeing what felt like the whole of east London dancing to my music. I’ve dreamt up shit like this.”
XO: For the festival, Magnum showed up by hosting you and your fans at its House of Magnum at APE. What was it like getting to party with your fans?
R: “So cute! My fans really showed up!!! It's rare you get to play a big festival and then actually hang out with everyone afterwards.”
XO: You’ve been nominated for the 2026 Brit Awards Critics' Choice award. What does receiving that kind of recognition mean to you?
R: “It feels massive. I still feel fairly underground, so it's a big deal to have this kinda recognition.”
XO: When Charli said “the dance floor is dead”, how did you interpret that?
R: “I interpreted it as she was ready to move on from Brat and fair enough. The dancefloor obviously isn’t dead it's been more alive this summer than ever (for me personally). But artists deserve the space to grow and move through genres and styles. The best artists do it with ease.”
XO: I know you’re a London girl at heart. What’s your favourite thing about this city?
R: “That’s so hard. I think it's the endless possibility. Anything and everything feels possible. I love a Dalston sunset, as the nights are just getting going. I love the canals and how they all weave into each other. I love a Sunday in London, being cosy having a roast. I love how I know nearly every street in east London now.”
XO: Aside from All Points East, where are you partying at the moment?
R: “The Roses Of Elagabalus. God, I love it.”
XO: Lastly, which flavour of Magnum are you cooling down with after a festival set in the heat?
R: “Magnum Classic, always. You can't beat the original.”
