Lovehoney wants to hear Wimbledon attendees scream

This week, Lovehoney — yes, that Lovehoney — hit up Wimbledon’s historic tennis tournament to explore one of the nation’s biggest hang-ups: making noise in bed. In a research survey conducted by Lovehoney, they found that half of people feel self conscious being vocal during sex, and 25% of people hold themselves back because of this.

According to Lovehoney’s findings, Gen-Z are the most self-conscious generation and this is seeping into our sex lives. But despite this, we do want to be vocal in bed. The pressure to conform and fear of being judged is keeping people from expressing themselves in the bedroom, when 63% of people enjoy it more when they make noise in bed, and 71% enjoy it more when their partner does.

Hitting up Wimbledon, Lovehoney brought awareness to this fact with its ‘Strawberries & Scream’ activation, a soundtrack that blends the sounds we make in the bedroom with the grunts that tennis players make on the court. Asking the general public to weigh in on which noise is which, Lovehoney destigmatized the idea of being loud in bed.

Hit up Lovehoney’s socials to watch the full ‘Strawberries & Scream’ video from Wimbledon, and its website to explore Lovehoney’s new toy, ‘The Strawberry’.
