Second-hand buying and selling has never been easier thanks to platforms like Vinted, and It-girl Madeline Argy knows it. Having grown a platform on socials largely thanks to her effortless style to match her breezy, carefree personality, Madeline's become a modern day fashion icon in her own right.
Having just linked up with beloved reselling platform Vinted to curate her own online wardrobe sale, we sat down with Madeline Argy to find out her top tips for shopping second hand, her favourite pieces in her wardrobe, and - most importantly - what's in her Vinted wardrobe sale.

We’re super excited to hear you’re linking up with Vinted for a wardrobe sale! Why does doing this with Vinted make so much sense?
"I think that shopping second hand is actually really important. It’s better for the planet - we have enough clothes to go around, and it looks better in my humble opinion. Also, I had like 3 boxes of old clothes blocking up my mums spare bedroom and she was starting to lose her patience with me."
More generally speaking, what kind of thing can we expect to find in your wardrobe sale?
"A lot of hoodies, a lot of sweatpants."
Are there any specific pieces you’re selling that bring back memories or take you back to a moment?
"A pair of buffalos. I loved those so much, they were the only pair of expensive shoes I had ever owned and I was so proud of them. I used to walk around in the Canterbury winter and risk breaking both my ankles. Did not care."
What’s the piece that you’re selling that is going to be the hardest to let go of?
"The green top jeans. They were the first PR package I ever got. I was so amazed that a brand knew who I was, and I took so many pictures in them. I really love them because they remind me to be amazed by what I do now."
You’re obviously a major fashion girl, known for your distinct personal style, but who's inspiring your fashion sense the most right now?
"Nadia Lee Cohen."
What’s an outfit you’ve worn that you wish you could erase from everyone’s memories?
"None, I think the bad ones are really funny."
I feel like it can be hard nowadays to avoid short-lived trends and be true to your own personal style when shopping. How do you avoid getting caught up by trends?
"I go to stores without a specific style curation, like a true vintage or thrift store, and go to the items that actually pull me to them. That way I end up always picking something that I genuinely like out of many different options, and my closet always ends up with pieces with different energy."
What's one trend you're ready to leave behind?
"The poofy skirt things. They look like diapers."
Lastly, is there anything from your Vinted graveyard (a product you had on your Wishlist that someone else bought before you could) that you will never recover from?
"They were a pair of vintage Miu Miu kitten heels. It hurts a bit but it’s ok."
